The Frauen helfen Frauen Esslingen association has its origins in an initiative of socially committed women volunteers. The vision of these committed women at the time of creating a women’s shelter and an advice centre could only be realised through volunteering. The success story shows what voluntary work can create and achieve. Therefore, volunteering is very important to us.
The voluntary group currently consists of around 20 women of different ages and professional backgrounds. The district also supports the association in various campaigns and events.
Daily activity in the charity shop
Tasks in the “Spenden-Lädle” secondhand donation shop include accepting donations and selling them. The volunteer women organise and work almost autonomously. They are accompanied in their work by full-time employees.
The work of the Board
The work of the Board includes tasks according to the statutes and rules of procedure. The current Board consists of three active women. Their main activity is representating the association and public relations, as well as maintaining the facilities and developing them further.
